Creating healthier families one individual at a time through faith, fellowship, and fitness.

Racing Towards the Future, Building Legacy

A Word from Our Founder Uchenna Jones

What a joy it is to provide 5 years of movement on the Southside of Madison. To see families running, walking, riding and dancing on a Saturday morning is a sight to behold. What happened on Saturday July 8th was faith exercised and love expressed through the form of movement.

Like your heartbeat, it requires freedom to move. And in a similar fashion, our bodies are uniquely designed to move. It is not about who can move the fastest. It is about the understanding that each of us were divinely created to move. Our families were created to move. Lastly, our community has the ability when united to move in such a way that it can foster positive change and bring about a sense of belonging, a safe and healing space for all.

So, to nurture and protect our families we need community. I would like each of you to remember that in community we have unity, in unity there is a unit, and within the unit therein lies u-n- i.

So, lets you and I transform the way in which we see and view each other. Let us stress and share the importance of mental well-being. Let’s you and I help our families heal and restore. Let’s you and I move and care for our bodies in such a way that we release our healing properties. However, in order to this it will take you and I in Unity with our families to create healthier communities.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you all next year at the 6th Annual Madison Gospel 5K Run/Walk & Health Fair on Saturday July 13, 2024!!!!!!

Check out our 2023 MG5K Highlight Reel.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

~ 1 Corinthians 9:24

Our mission of the Madison Gospel 5K Run/Walk is to unite the Madison community in exercising our faith, fellowship, and building a healthier city through the promotion of healthy lifestyles in all its aspects.

I am a wife and mother of three. Currently, I am employed as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. As a nurse, I spend a lot of time educating patients about their health and treatment plans provided by their physicians. I am passionate and love what I do. My hope and goal is to help others realize this in themselves. I want to spread the word on how important it is to live a life of health and wellness. After living an unhealthy life for most of my twenties and thirties, I am here to say that you are never too old to make a change. I hope to inspire as well as encourage those near and far to take the first courageous step at being a more fit you. Are you ready? Let’s Go!
